Story
A bizarre tale, the story begins with Ramana (krishnudu) who is doing degree final year from five years. His father (jayaprakash reddy) is an ex-MLA who is corrupt and money minded. His mother (sarala) dotes on him. Ramana’s life changes with the arrival of the new lecturer Lavanya (shraddha), incidentally she happens to be his classmate once upon a time and Ramana falls in love with her since then. He expresses his feelings to her but she puts condition that he must clear degree. Once he does that, she still doesn’t approve and the reason for that is her background. Her father Anjaneyulu (avs) is a beggar and Lavanya feels it wont work out. Ramana decides to resolve this matter. How he does that forms the rest of the story.
Crew and cast
The director has come up with a ridiculous storyline and both the presentation and narrative are below average. The dialogues were okay at few places, the script was shallow and the screenplay was amateur. Background score was alright but only one song was good. Cinematography was decent. Costumes were okay and the art department made its presence felt. Editing could have been better. Krishnudu performs his part well and though it didn’t have the strength, he still put life into it, Shraddha looks seductive and despite not having any glamour feasts, she gives few hot looks. AVS was good to his part and it appeared that his character was worked with great focus than the rest. Jayaprakash Reddy was good, Gundu Hanumantha Rao was funny, L B Sriram was natural, Brahmanandam, Ali, Venu Madhav, Raghu Babu could not do much. Kovai Sarala was loud, Hema was okay, the others just came and went.
Analysis
While the makers made a feeble attempt to erase the lines of poverty and convey a strong message, it turns out to be a rather half baked plot which is rather unconvincing and at the same ridiculous. Despite the presence of few cinematic liberties, the plot is completely off track and the viewer fails to understand where he is. Added to that is the second half when there is a lot of gyan given so it turns out to be more of a message oriented arthouse flick than a proper comedy caper. Though some of the best in the business were present, the director failed to extract the required act due to the horrendous storyline. This is sure to sink at the box office.
